Roman Wilson to Miss Games Due to Finger Injury

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson is set to miss multiple weeks after injuring his finger. The injury occurred during the second quarter of the team’s recent win against the Indianapolis Colts. After attempting to catch a pass from Aaron Rodgers, Wilson was seen holding his left hand and was later ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Wilson is still in the process of gauging the severity of his injury and plans to seek a second opinion, according to a source reported by Jeremy Fowler. This setback adds Wilson to the list of injured Steelers receivers, which already includes Michael Pittman Jr., who is on injured reserve with a foot injury, and Ben Skowronek, who left the same game with a calf injury.
With these injuries, the Steelers are now reliant on DK Metcalf, rookies Germie Bernard and Kaden Wetjen, and Brandon Smith, who was recently called up from the practice squad, to fill the void. At 25, Wilson was making a significant impact in his third season prior to his injury, having made 14 receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns.
